Price County Fun is the only digital publication covering Price County, Wisconsin with original investigative journalism and comprehensive outdoor recreation guides. We believe rural communities deserve the same quality of reporting as major metropolitan areas — and we’re here to provide it.
Our Editorial Standards
Accuracy first. Every fact we publish has been verified against primary sources — public records, meeting minutes, court filings, direct observation, or confirmed interviews. When we get something wrong, we correct it publicly and transparently.
Source transparency. We cite our sources. When information comes from public records, we link to them. When we use data, we explain where it came from and when it was last updated. Anonymity is granted only when sources face genuine risk of retaliation.
Independence. Price County Fun is not affiliated with any government agency, political party, or business interest. Our editorial decisions are made solely by our editorial team. We do not accept payment for coverage or favorable treatment.
Local expertise. Our coverage is grounded in first-hand knowledge of Price County — its people, its government, its outdoors. We attend County Board meetings, read the public records, and walk the trails we write about.
Correction Policy
If we publish information that is inaccurate, we will:
- Correct the article as soon as we become aware of the error
- Add a clear correction note at the top of the article stating what was wrong and when it was corrected
- Preserve the original text with strikethrough when possible, so readers can see what changed
- Never silently alter facts without acknowledging the change

- Subject review: When possible, individuals or organizations named in investigative pieces are given an opportunity to respond before publication
- Legal review: Articles involving allegations of misconduct are reviewed for accuracy and fair comment before publication
